The mission of the Blind Brook High School is to prepare our students to be active, lifelong learners who have the skills and confidence necessary to achieve their highest potential, from academics to extracurriculars, in line with the essential skills and dispositions in our Vision of the Graduate and Vision of Deep Learning.

Orthopedist Dr. Jason Hochfelder recently visited a Blind Brook High School robotics class, introducing them to "ROSA," or Robotics Surgical Assistant, a surgical robot that assist with knee and hip replacements.
Blind Brook High School Principal Mark Greenwald announced this week that six students have been named a Commended Student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. Those recognized include seniors Alexandria Dluzhevskiy,
Abigail Goldstein, Rachel Horn, Joshua Montvelisky, Emily Tian, and Charlotte Zelin.
This past summer senior Charlotte Zelin received word that her first-author publication would appear in a peer-reviewed research journal.
“I was ecstatic,” Charlotte said when she heard the news.
The article, “Rare Disease Diagnosis Using Knowledge Guided Retrieval Augmentation for ChatGPT,” appeared in the Journal of Biomedical Informatics, in the September issue. It is co-authored by Dr. Wendy K. Chung, Dr. Mederic Jeanne, Dr. Gongbo Zhang and Dr. Chunhua Weng, although Charlotte’s name appears first.
U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona today recognized 356 schools as the 2024 cohort of National Blue Ribbon Schools. This prestigious recognition highlights schools that excel in academic performance or make significant strides in closing achievement gaps among different student groups. Blind Brook High School was among those honored as an Exemplary High-Performing School.
Students at Blind Brook Middle/High School have begun the new school year with a special reminder about how to create a positive atmosphere at the school and it begins with “Start with Hello Week,” which runs from Sept. 16-20.
