Senior Options
2024/2025
You must secure your own Internship/Independent Project.
You may not intern with a family member or be supervised by a family member for either an Internship or Independent Project.
You must explain to your Site Supervisor that you do receive school credit for your participation in Senior Options.
You may not get financial compensation for your Internship/Independent Project. Please specify to your site supervisor that you get school credit.
You may not intern at a place of present employment completing the same responsibilities as you presently do.
If you choose an independent project, your project must reflect at least 100 hours of work.
If you choose an independent project working with another student, each member must contribute at least 100 hours of work toward the project. For example, if there are two members in your group, your project must reflect 200 hours of work.
Internships
Complete this Senior Options Internship Proposal Google Form by Monday, February 10, 2025, the latest!
Independent Projects
Complete this Senior Options Independent Project Proposal Google Form by Monday, February 10, 2025. Please note: Your Independent Project must be approved by the administration. See Mr. Ambrosio or Mr. Barnes with your plan before this date.
Timeline
February 10
- Internship Proposal or Independent Project Proposal form due to Mr. Ambrosio
- 2025 Senior Options Internship Student Contract Signed by Your Parent, On-Site Supervisor and You due to Mr. Ambrosio
April 25
- 80 Hours of Community Service Graduation Requirement must be completed in order to be released for Senior Options
May 2
- Last day of classes for Seniors except for AP students who must still return to school to attend all of their AP classes until the AP Exam has been completed
May 5
- Senior Options Begins (dependent upon your AP exams)
June 4
- Senior Options culminates with a MANDATORY Senior Options Night of Celebration presentation
Link to Senior Options Sponsor Letter (Please use the Sponsor Letter Below to Email to the On-site Supervisor of the Company or Non-Profit that you are interested in sponsoring you for an internship. The letter Introduces the BBHS Senior Options program and explains what is expected of the company and the intern.
